All Standard size surrounds are built to accommodate (partially overlap) 0- 7/8 inch thick facing material. Precut trim pieces are provided to take up the gap between the inside of the surround and the facing. All opening sizes include the inside trim pieces and should be included for figuring heat clearances. If your application requires modifications to these measurements, we can customize the unit to fit. Of course, there are practical limits to customizing, dictated by common sense and good taste.
